On the topic of Windscreen... I bought a Garmin low profile external antenna...it has a magnetic base which sticks nicely to the exterior of the car e.g. at the top of the right side A pillar... The antenna is rounded on one side and flat on the other... the flat side has the usual screws and the usual sticker behind most electrical appliances...i.e. ugly to show if I simply stuck the flat side to the inside of the windscreen...

The antenna costs S$42 and I got 8 satelite locks with an accuracy of 2metres... amazing...

Have you try to use the antenna in shark-fin thaE60 have? I believe the cable and antenna are there for both phone and GPS. IF it is not there , buy it from PML and ask them to install.

tried that, all components are there but does not work.

Most people put it at the centre of the dashboard at the bottom of the windscreen. It also acts as a virtual centre speaker.

Yes, my windscreen cracked last week and I got it replaced by PML Alexandra. Called Stanley at 63190110. You just have to fill in the insurance form and send in the car one day and get it back on the next day.
My insurance cover the windscreen but I heard from Stanley something like have to pay $100 for some paper works.

I didn't pay anything up front.

O.K, just spoke to the sales person. It is actually a treatment to kill bacteria inside the car (e.g aircon vent, seats etc..) and eliminate odours.

thanks tcc. i went to alexandra jyst now to fill up forms too. talked to a guy called crescendo.

actually quite upset that insurance doesnt cover vkool. have to pay and take time off to get that done again.
