300 is a good price IMHO...hehe. (there is a "H")
I am interested for maps at $300. LMK, how will Garmin Sin/JB maps conflict with Mal/Sing maps? Do I have to delete/remove Mal/Sin Maps from Garmin?
For the GTG this afternoon, are you guys bringing your notebooks, spare SD cards, thumb drives?

Can test drive? I'm sure it can't go at 285km/h but how about 250?
So at the moment its purely a 1:1 scale model car which happens to able to move...

Guys,
Patrick from Navicomm just called me. He quoted me Garmin Sing/J.B maps S$300 based on 3 or 4 pcs.
He say internet price is USD250 (is this true?). He have no idea when Garmin Sing/Mal will be ready though target is end of the year. No ideal about the price as well as price is set by the software company who produce the map. No ideal about the price of upgrade to Sing/Mal in future but estimate it will be half the cost of Sing/J.B.
Seems like update is not frequent, he say maybe once a year.
The map will come in a S.D card so cannot be shared. Regarding accessories, must tell him what we need.
We can discuss during the GTG.

TCC39,
Thank you for inviting us to your nice "home" and a good chance to rape the SLK!
i have to say the chilli and Kong Bak Bao is very good!
As usual, i enjoyed the jokes and fun.
i will work on the research of ICE and get back soon.
Also, there are many good amps and speakers available in the USA at very good prices, for those who are interested, you may want to consider that too. i imported most of my ICE from USA since many years ago. So far so good.
ONce again, thank you TCC for the wonderful GTG and great food!

tcc39,
Thanks for the nice food and all of use enjoy it. And sorry I had to make a move earlier than the rest or else I would have some foot massage by your school of Kois and save some money on foot massage for the GPS.

this is one good 6 channel amp, reasonable price.
http://www2.shopping.com/xPO-PPI_PPI_DCX800_5#
or at a higher budget:
sub woofer amp:
http://www.cardomain.com/item/ORI47505
with 4 ch power amp:
http://www.cardomain.com/item/ORI47545
this is a good dual coil sub, one piece is enough.
http://www.cardomain.com/item/MTXT851244
front speakers:
reasonable budget:
http://www.cardomain.com/item/POLMMC6500
performance budget:
http://www.cardomain.com/item/ADS39306
or
http://www.cardomain.com/item/POLSR6500
of course there are competition grades, but these components can improve and boost the sound quality of your stock ICE already.
Happy ICE!

TCC, thanks again for the invitation to your mansion, the delicious food and beer and the many many things, and of course the side-effect of the devillish car talks. Nuvi, throttle device, ...., ....
To follow up on my appointment with PML. I tried some cars at the workshop, yes, the fuel filler flap can still be opened even if you have locked your car using the central locking. A check with Russo confirmed this. But someone said that it used to be able to lock with central locking, perhaps the new software had make it otherwise.
Door creaks solved 50%. Driver seat squeaks were gone after applying some leather conditioner on the plastic where it meets the leather. However, rear creaks and squeaks still persist. So 50% is still a fail, the passing mark is 55%.
On the brake squeaks issue, it was was found to be the rear brakes rather than the front. Kudos to Dennis for servicing the rear brakes to get rid of the noise at no cost. At least now the brakes do not announce my arrival. However, I was slapped with a $140 bill for replacement of microfilter. $90+ for the parts, $20+ for the labour of putting in the new filters and throwing away the old, and another $20+ for telling the iDrive I have a new pair of 3M microfilter.
Oh did I tell you that PML sent a BMW to pick me up from my office to collect my ride? You want this pick-up service? Pray hard that the guys at PML locked themselves out with the key inside your car.

TCC, thanks for the invite. The ngoh hiang was fantastic. I'm still toying with the idea of paying you another visit - with my line and hook!!!
