hi i m in holland as well. i will b doing it...just spoke to them again. gtee no removal of ecu. they will take 20mins to xtract the data...then off u go...come back in 2 days n 20mins for them to put in...they will also reverse the process ......
This is soooo tempting. Any chance there will be damage to the engine?
Will torque be increased also?

yes torque will go up but not sure how much...engine will not be damage. they tell me your engine has got a lot more potential...normally 15-20% more.. this will bring it up to very acceptable limits still. HiOP is well known tuners...go check the web for their parts on beemers. i will definitely do it...but i want to change plugs n air box first b4 i do the chip.

I sent an email to HIOP Racetec through their website yesterday regaqrding their ecu remapping of E60's and here was their reply:
Dear Peter,
thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately we are not able to tune the E60 via our "Cartune" system as yet. We are currently in the process of updating our software to handle this. Yes, Juzz4Cars are our SINGAPORE dealers.
Please check back with Juzz4Cars soon, in order to find out more regarding the tuning your car.
Best regards,
Darren Zimsen

This is somewhat puzzling, as Juzz4Cars claim to have already remapped a few E60 530i's.

PML USES caltex 0-30 oil...fastest flowing oil apparently. they say no need to change oil till advised. but its never too early to change oil...i usually change 10-15k....frankly all oils r the same. for our climate 0 viscocity is not nec. but then again...we dun hv to go to 40 as wel... the diff is that pml is more expensive!

The irritating squeaking driver seat has returned today - one week after I collected car from PML.
