Hi Olivin,

Nice shot of your ride. When are you getting the bluetooth retrofit done? I spoke to Brandon at PML and he mentioned a E60 owner willing to be first as a try out, is that you?

eggz
Yes Eggz

I told Brandon that I would not mind being the first to try out the bluetooth retrofit - he told me that he is having difficulty getting a PML registered car to "take it apart" and might take up to 2 days as the techs are not 100% sure of the procedure

Haven't heard from him since and am still waiting. Meanwhile would wait for the retrofit before changing phone. The whole problem is in trying to ensure one of the newer phones would sync properly. I have been playing with bluetooth phones since the first Nokia with bluetooth (N7650) was launched on its first day. And not all bluetooth USB adaptors worked. Anyway, that phone will not work bcoz it only transmit data via bluetooth! Wondering if N7610 will be fully compatible.

Thanks for the update, keep us posted.

For the official list of bluetooth phones supported try this link

http://www.bmw.co.za/Products/Bluetooth/

There's an unofficial BMW bluetooth FAQ at:

http://www.mdload.com/bluetooth/

Here's a link from a forum where someone has tried the new Sony Ericsson K700i with BMW's bluetooth and seems the only issue is that it uploads the phonebook at every handshake. I might get this phone once the retrofit is done.

Anyone game to meet on the 25th? I'm in town and can bring some E60 tech "goodies" with me... I'll ping next weekend as well if anyone is willing to meet...

Casper, you never heard of Singapore before? We are from the tiny red dot island state Singapore! And we do not live in the trees!

Guest_Kiasu King kong

I realize that, I wasn't sure if this was a forum for Singapore, but I now see that this thread is for BMW E60 owners who live in Singapore. Enjoy your E60's in Singapore.
