Hey Zag,
It would be fun to gather all the E60 together. I would certainly be there.
Cool about your new findings, good feature I suppose.
Totoseow,
I have this problem, book an appointment with pml after showing them the steering fault. Towards the appointment date (which is 1 week later), seow seow the fault disappeared. Steering wheel retracts when you off engine.
Found out that the steering has 2 directional adjustment; up/down and in/out. The retraction only moves the steering all the way up, but not in. So after adjusting manually using the button, moving it "in" a bit, the mechanism bites and will regain the retraction. Pls try!
But it still does not react to the memory setting though. If you solve this one, let me know.
Next, do realise that the left side mirror will tilt when you hit reverse gear (if your adjustment button is on right). Does any one know this tilting angle could be adjusted?
Cheers!

Hey ED520,
Aparently, tilting angle could be memorised in other series like E46. I am trying to get the procedures right on E60.
PML has BMW boot spoiler and ACS roof spoiler that I have installed. You may want to have a look on mine first. Coins holder in ashray may not be logical, where you can just put coins in there now.
Totoseow,
Yours may be more serious than I thought. It suppose to retract! One more try, the steering wheel should not be adjusted all the way down or out, to prevent linkage break of mechanism. Try neutral position, may help.
Otherwise, go pml soonest! Bring 2 keys down, they will suspect the memory function of your keys, which I do not think so.
Cheers!

btw, how are you doing with fuel consumption? mine is bad at 6km/liter. i drove less freeway and push the car alot. at 7000km, my brake starts to get noisy already and tremendous dust on the rims. I am at 14000km countdown to servicing.

Totoseow,
Hope you won't find more faults surfacing....enjoy your ride!
Zag,
Really? cannot? The mirror is tilting to the floor which I disabled it; by switching it to the left side. Sian..
6km/l? that is about 16.6L/100km.....your foot is real heavy friend. I scared.
During run-in the first 2K, was about 14.5L/100km. I have the engine oil changed, and now about 13.5L/100km.
Cheers!
