Hi, glad to see so many of you here. I am away and will not be back in Singapore until next week. My E60 sitting idle in the car park. Owned it for 3 months now and still less than 3000 km clocked. I am interested in upgrading my rim to 18 inch style 124. Any one knows whether there is any place outside PML I can buy the rim cheaper?

Ed520, the OEM style 124 18 inch rim for E60 545i has just arrived in Singapore. The rim plus 245/40 ZR18 tyres cost S$3100. compared to more than S$5,000 at PML for the same set. It looks exactly the same as the original. According to my tyre shop friend, the same italian maker suppliers the original to BMW in Germany (don't know whether got bluff me or not). I thnk someone in Europe posted a pic of his E60 fitted with the rim recently on this board.

Hi BMW world - I'm interested in your colour combination - Saphire Black and Auburn.
Is there any chance of you posting a few pics please? Thanks!!

Ed520,

There is one rim and tyre shop Tai Huat Tyres along Upp Thomson Rd next to Standard Chartered Bank (the Sin Ming stretch). You can go there to view the rim. Call 64537205 and ask for Eng Chuan. I am having mine fixed today or tomorrow. I am keeping the original black rim nuts and centres. The 245/50/18 ZR tyres are more expensive than the rims. Full set at PML for style 124 is above S$5,000. The replica cost slightly more than S$3,000.

Hey guys.. got a question on body roll at corners those without Dynamic drive.
during bent; sharp or gradual corners.. do you feel that the e60 doesn't roll/lean that much at all or do you?

BMWorld,
couldn't make it to the bmw.sg meetup. wanted to but got appointment so didn't.
does yours come with DD? if not do you feel any difference compare to the sepang test drive experience when you drive hard into corners?

last saturday I pushed my ride around at 1 am ... corner here corner there at high speed and shit this car doesn't roll much. did the carpark slalom stunt as in sepang. can't tell.

toto.. gotta sit in your DD equipped ride.. coz i can't figure out the diff yet.

cheers

yeah, zag, you should check, I test drove that titanium grey 530i at PML and my SE initially told me that it didn't have DD. I went pretty fast on South BV road and felt almost no body roll. Also went quite fast on some of the AYE exits, again almost no roll. Didn't believe her, so got her to check and indeed that 530i has DD.
