hi zag...i m driving wif heavy foot as well...appx 13.8/100 now..

alfas r good to race...they r fast.? i lost a race on fri nite...lost to a type R integra.? he overtook me on road shoulder...

will be sending in my car tomorrow...i hope they can fix the steering...altho its not really bothering me now..
Alfa are nice cars actually.. while the 156 was tail gating me... a 147 GTA was in front of me and it pulled away nicely fast exiting the highway. Cool!

Last nite a Saab 95 non aero tried to race me... and I blew him off.

Those Type R ones are fast... what speed were you at when he overtook you? You need 545i to take on them squarely.

totoseow's E60 will be the last one to buy in the secondhand market since he race it so much. Hahaha! By the way, my E60 engine experienced stuttering yesterday when I floored the pedal while picking up. Seemed like the gear did not engage properly. This had happened a few times in the last 4 months.

totoseow, noticed you have the style 124 rims. I am using the style 124 replica rims from Italy with 245/40 R18 Goodyear F1 tyres. I find the car noisy at high speed and bumpy on rough roads. Do you have same experience? Not sure whether it has anything to do with engine size also as mine is 520i.

Has anyone upgraded from stock 16" wheels to 17" wheels? If so, how's the ride characteristics? I have mine upgraded to 18" wheel. WHile the car looks very good, the ride is noiser and steering heavier. The 16" ride was very good, quiet and 'soft" but the car looked rather lousy with the small wheels. Does 17" look a lot better than the 16"?

mine from 16 to 17....the noise level is the same as 18...and the looks not as good as 18. I think your 18 is good choice. No worries. You kiasu should go for 20...cos ur rim shld match ur nick

Toto and zag, you guys are street racer huh. There is no winner in the end... careful thou...

could it be your tyres design?
I don't really find my 18"/ 245mm tyre being noisy.. stiff and bumpy yes for a run flat.

you might want to check out the alignment.. per wider tyre setup. does inner and outer portion wear proportionately?

Sg520i/Zag, thanks for your response. The alignment is ok. Changing the wheels will not affect alignment. I think it is just the bigger wheels that affected the drive feel.

kiasu...the 124 is running 275/35 behind...is urs the same?

cant ask me about road noise...i m used to some of it at least. the noise i get is not from the road...more from the wind. i dun find the ride hard at all. n i m running sports suspension as well not to forget....i wud just call the ride firm but forgiving...n i can feel the car n steering inputs quite clearly.

totoseow, I have 245/40 all round. You are right about feeling the car and road. With 16", no such feeling and the drive feel is pretty detached from the road.
