To all E60 owners here, what is your age? I am curious to find out what age groups do E60 owners fall into generally in Singapore.

Now PML is having 25th Anniversary Sales, 520i selling at S$189k. Do you think this promo is too good to miss?
I'm 35. I think PML's 520i offer is pretty good except that these are probably 2003 cars. Otherwise, a 520i for that price is great!

The $189K 520i package is the same price as those Aerospace show cars. Only that you get to drive the car brand new and not after it has been used to ferry others. Or is PML clearing stock of those unsold Aerospace show cars? But if you include a few options, the price will easily top $200K. I changed my rims and tyres to style 124 and it already cost me more than $5k.

My car is now 5 months old and I have clocked 4500km. No problem but the drive seat squeaking is now very irritating. Any advice how to resolve the problem?

I've a quick question - does the standard equipment include 'Auto Air conditioning with extended features' or just 'Auto Air con' ? Apparently 'Auto Air conditioning with extended features' has electronic dials while the 'Auto Air con' has manual knobs (just like the headlamp controls). I thot the stock cars in Singapore always came with air con with electronic dials...
I think all Singapore 5ers come with the auto air cond with extended features with electronic dials, including the particle filter.

When are you expecting deliverly? Cool thing with the 525i now is that xenons are standard! Used to be a $3k option! Did you get any other options?

eggz,

Was told production will be Jul/Aug. If production is in Jul, shipping in Aug, and delivery in Sept...

Any idea if buyers in Singapore can check production status via some website like other regions ?

Options will be :
- glass roof
- Logic7
- rear air bags
- lumbar
- titanium II dark trims (-2038 SGD!!)
- 115 rims (-2600 SGD!!)
- full crome grills

Hi there,

I think some of the previous E39s had a problem with squeaking/clicking seats. You should be able to get it tightened and lubricated.

After the cars get run-in, certain bits and pieces loosen up. Of course, I would have expected them to fix some of the gremlins by now.

Cheers

Hey Eggz,

I just checked about the 25th anniversary 520i, they are March 2004 production cars.

Cheers

Yeah, but TTS only has certain colours available.

That said, Lucky buyers will be able to get the 520i at fairly reasonable rates during this promotion period. I believe TTS will be removed as an authorized agent from 1st june onwards so they are selling everything as quickly as possible.

Cheers

Hi all,

Also greetings to BMWorld and Totoseow. It is sure a pleasure to be able to meet up with you guys at Yishun Dam.

Though it was only the three of us, we certainly did have an interesting exchange of "What's missing in my car" and "Eh, my car has this and yours don't have!".

Looks like the options by PML is quite varied. If more E60 owners can meet up and we would be scratching our heads in amazement and bewildered at the differences.

Anyway, thanks for the mtg guys and let's see when and where another gathering can be made. I shall bring a camera and shoot the variances.

Hmm, I spoke to a PML sales person last saturday and she said the special was to clear stock of 2003 and early 2004 520is. Perhaps they already got rid of most of their 2003s during the aerospace promo.

Whatever the case, it's a pretty good deal. Only other thing would be that since these are cars from existing stock, options that are not retro-fittable won't be do-able.
