Tony,
Sorry to hear about your problem. I hope it is just another computer gliche and nothing serious. What did PML say regarding the problem?
Remember I mentioned about my friend's 6 months old E60 having to top up engine oil every 2000km? PML checked and finally confirmed something is wrong. According to my friend, they have to change some "engine" parts and the material take 3 weeks to arrive. Now they loan him another E60 to drive.

the car has been trouble free and real good until that run up. i have travelled at those high speed before and had no probs.
1 had my idive fixed and a software update to version 21 on friday could very well be related,i dont see it as a big mechanical problem and believe it is a software thing because after i on off engine it was fine....a bit like rebooting
here s a link.but can the maps here be used or not???

Will wait for Prof Lai to return from his Korea trip to enlighten all the Nuvi novices here on how to maximise the gadget...
In the mean time... anyway to create our own POI notifications such as fixed cameras along the various roads? The ones I downloaded only had a few in SGP and mostly along the N-S highway...? thanks!

Does anyone know where to get similar free maps for Garmin for HK, Taipei, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai?
Actually I would really like to get my hands to update these maps... anyone knows what tools to use???

Put in most of Asia and Australia and NZ and Japan.. then the Singapore MalSingMap froze when attempting to "redraw"...
Is there a maximum limit to the total size of the GMAPSUPP.IMG file? Or some kind of limit to the number of smaller patched IMG files?
I have send remove those new additions and the Nuvi runs much much better.
It seems that no one at MalSingMaps is addressing the lack of Address search/Cross Intersection issue...
Has anyone tried loading the old Garmin Sing/Mal or Sing/JB original maps onto the Nuvi and make it work?

I am keen to buy the Video Interface. Can someone give me a contact or add me onto some bulk order list pls? Wanna make my ride similar to Bugaboo's in-car video and HD player...

Back to Garmin Nuvi 310.... How do we make our own POIs. Currently, with the help of our Guru, aka LMK, I have added the POI with all speed traps in Singapore and Malaysia. I must say it works very well. How can I add other POIs into the maps.
After using Nuvi of a week, I only have a couple of complaints.
1. When navigating, smaller road names are not displayed on the screen.
2. Only some landmarks are displayed on the screen while navigating; even with "most" detailed resolution set.
3. Satellite takes quite awhile to "Aquire"! Sometimes more than a minute
4. and finally, CANNOT SEARCH ADDRESS!!!
