Wah Zag, commando training sial!!? Long time no see. I have upgraded everything except my CDP and cables

Tom, the 124 was S$800+ each, but you may get 25% in June. You can definitely get all narrower or wider rims. My Pirelli was S$500+, my 16" were worth $600, but heard the 17" can fetch $900 when new. I hope I answer all your Qs.

Meng, the Tiger is roaring, thanks. Black CF is nicer. White ones too Ah Beng.

hi 1628,
what is that throttle device? care to elaborate?

are you having 245 all raound? or 245 front 275 rear? l love the ACS front lip too. Are they ACS original or the replica? mind telling me where to get and how much? can show me some pics on the fitting?
thanks..

hi bugaboo,
i prefer the black. looks much natural than silver.

18 ps2 245.easy for rotation.acs lip original.some one sold it to me otherwise dam ex for a lip $1400 from pml with out install.forget replicas not nice. .ebach springs or they say its acs springs front looks good but rear not much diff.too low to park front in.

throttle device dam good mod you wont regret.

I did drill a hole but not on the bumper. Mine is on the side of the boot handle above the number plate.

You can have it switched on all the time. A few posts back Yankee described it. But you still have to manually switch to the video input (in this case video 4 should be used). I don't like it because the CCD/CMOS sensors are permanently powered up, which may shorten its life span. The life span I guess would depend on how good the sensors are.

Looking to buy a set of tyres. Where and which tyre shop on the island is the best and can accept trade-ins ?
Can you recommend a good brand to me?

Currently looking at 2 options:

A) 225/50 17 Fr & Rr

245/40 18 Fr
275/35 18 Rr

i 'm going for 523i, do you think 18"s is okay for it to pull? pls gimme some advice.
many thks
Tom, I changed my rims for my 523 on the very first day to 124s (245 all round) and find the ride fine. Pull is ok for me -- although if you find it lacking, just drive in DS mode. BTW, Chin Wah stocks original BMW rims and you'll find their prices are much better than PML's. Just call up and ask.

I have style 124 on all 4 wheels - bought them at PML. Switched from the original 16" rim after 6 months. The noise level is much higher than 16" but after a while, you will not notice it. Also, the steering will feel some road vibration but overall still ok. But if you change before collecting car from PML, then you will not notice all these. PML only accepts trade in if you change the rims and tyres before collecting car.

thinking of going for star spoke 124. 245 front and 275 rear. will check with pml if i can order 245 x 4 pieces all round rather than the std set 245 x 2pcs & 275 x2 pcs.

is yours lowered? or stock std? where did you get your rims? could you let me know how much they cost you for the rims and tyres separately?
