Toto, I did not change the head-unit. My installer did not dare to touch iDrive at all.

'fraid not...I've decided to wait till the cars change to E90s.....the thought of a 330i with 258HP is just too good to pass up. According to some of the bmw.sg folks, Keith says it could be as early as May.

I am told there is a long waiting list for the BMW IDT in March, and I have gracefully given up my slot to the next person

Bye bye haze and E46

Eggz, lets coordinate for the E90 IDT. Heard from the grapevine it will be in June.

Probably due to the pre-wax I was telling you about before you slap on the Zymol wax. It replenishes lost oils in the paint and fills up minor hairline scratches. Thats why your paintwork now looks really really deep and has a nice sheen on the surface. Not to mention the draggy touch when you run your fingers on the paintwork.? The preperation of the surface to be waxed is very very important.

Those empty containers are a gem. I'll see if I can find any for you.

I did apply the HD Cleanse leh, I suspect its the Destiny that I am using, a tad too dry, improper storage perhaps.

Maybe maybe. You can try to spray a bit of detail spray on the wax and mix it a little. That should soften the wax a bring a little life back. Easier to apply too.

Sent in my ride today for the bluetooth and aux input retrofit + software update + fix some minor stuff

Got a E60 520i loaner....hey Zag is this the same one you got last time?, it's black with grey interior SFQ 22**

First impression is..damn! the tires are a lot more quiet. The ride's quite a bit less firm as well...could be partly due to the fact that prior to the last Sepang trip, I pumped my tires to max recommended pressure.

Cant really get used to the lack of omph in the mid range though...otherwise, that 2.2L inline 6 is pretty sweet!

Hi Eggz,

Remember to give a review on the Bluetooth when you have them installed. I for one is earger to know if they work with Pocket PC Phones like the O2 mini.

All the best.

Got my car back today with bluetooth and aux input retros done.

Must say the bluetooth works very well, paired with a Siemens S65. Called a few folks both on land lines and mobile, all say I sound loud and clear. It's quite cool being able to finally answer the phone via the button on the steering wheel.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get the phone to upload the phonebook numbers to the idrive . Need to do a search on the forum.

Aux input works as expected. I don't have an Ipod and just used a pocket PC to play MP3s. Sound is decent, but the volume levels are low. Dindae do find this with yours as well? When I adjust the volume and then go back to CD or FM, it's real loud! :'( . Anyway, think I get one of those new 6GB IPOD minis this weekend

Just to add. Bluetooth pairing is real fast. It takes all of about 10 - 15 seconds

Oh, I got the 15.2 software upgrade with the dreaded warning message in the beginning. Oh well...just have to live with it I guess.

The price is a stinker. The retrofit costs $2200 all in :'( Ok I confess it's a present from my wife . Not that anything is really free, this came after a trip to some jewelry stores on Orchard road over Christmas

As for the software version, I checked with the CSA and he confirmed that the latest version PML has was uploaded...which is 15.2
