Just did a quick ref. check; E60 115 costs 2K+! In UK, it's a 70 sterling pounds option.

Hi Olivin,
Was busy for a while. 6ser? My dream.....
I do not know the software version that they have updated last week, anywhere I could find out myself? Then I could advise you.

Definitely missed the big fun you guys had for the 2nd meet-up, any 3rd coming? My ride hits 17,000Km when it prompted me for my 1st service, kinda fast yah.

So, have you found out more about this new software availability? Sure will stop your cursing about the alert message. Maybe will start the next curse about the blank screen...hahaa.

Cheers!

Got my first fault warning display today after 10 months!
"Restraint system Faulty" - idrive says "airbag; belt tensioner; blah blah is faulty... go to nearest Bimmer workshop". The fault sticks like a gum whole day and not going off.
Zag,

i got my "Restraint Faulty" message this evening! (only collected the car 1 mth back)
Did you manage to resolve yours ?
I suspect its a software error 'cos I drove the whole day without problems, parked for about 1.5hrs before starting the car again and then... the message came up!
Planning to send the car in to East Coast workshop tomorrow morning...

Big Welcome amethyst525i! You are the first 525i here in sg sub forum.
Mine was faulty belt tensioner so I was told. Yes, with the faulty message the car still run like normal... however the restraint system might not fully deploy in case of collision.
By the way, have you had your car fixed for the faulty seat occupancy detector? One way to tell if you had is the "belt up man" icon on the dash will light up if you don't buckle up.

Congrats!
After inspecting the car, take the car for a ride with your sales rep to see if everything is fine before finalising the handover!

Sigh... just called the workshop and appts are full until this Fri! Since I'll be away for 2 wks from next week, think I'll send in the car before I leave town and ask them to keep the car for the 2 wks...

I dun have any problem with the faulty seat occupancy detector... maybe they may have resolved that before I collected my car (mid last month)
