Zag,

My ride is still in PML tonite, they cannot even finish half the problems I went in for

Charles Ebenzer told me that the Acceptance Message is going to be standard for E60s around the globe - I am also challenging him to prove to me thus. Maybe you can post Chris's number here and I shall also give him my piece of music coz they will have to upgrade the software in my car too! Better throttle response also, they say.

I can now confirm that I saw another Olivin Green 525i retro-fitted with Bluetooth. Apparently, he is somebody in Siemens and they are still awaiting for the eject box only (they were shipped with left-hand ones). This guy has a wider i-drive screen (Nav) & DVD player standard beneath his CD player. But PML still not able to tell me what is the cost as they have not been advised on the FRU to charge!!

They have also once again confirmed that PDC can be retro-fitted - they tried sucessfully after too many 520is owners' demand for it.

Chris Brown is a good for nothing. I had a run in with him when I was driving my 735LI. Gave him a computer printed "things to do list" before I left SIN for a week. When I got back, not only was half the items untouched, he dared deliver my car unwashed and scratched!!! I paid Car Works SGD 2000 plus per annum for paint maintenance and he dared destroy it within a week. Complained directly to his MD, Simon Rock. PML did some respray job for me and rectified the problems left unchecked. And guess what? Mr BROWN gets promoted a couple of months later. He used to be just a CSA "specialising" in the E65 & 66. He's now become a big polar bear in a glass cage; much more prominant than the nice aquarium you see at PML, telling the other CSAs how to best service us. There is no justice!!!

Some of the lower educated CSAs are more helpful; people like Tan. Talk to them nicely and they will be most helpful. One other person who can help is RUSSELL from Bronze Carman. He's got the knowhow and is really friendly and easy to get along with. He will explain your problems to his pals at PML in their lingo and this really helps.

Oh yeah, by the way; PML is starting a new servicing workshop at Sime Center (where you collect your new ride). Guess who's gonna be in charged..... the one and only Chris Brown!!! Wild horses won't be able to drag me there.

Olivin,

That's great news, does this mean that they can now do the Bluetooth retrofit for us without holding the car for like a week?! The last time I asked Brandon, he said they were still waiting for a guinea pig, so this guy's is it then!

Actually the bluetooth function can be used without the eject box rite?

I gave up on Chris Brown already. He is a nice guy though but hm.. useless!
I am working with Henry Lim (63190176) after sales service manager. I told him that I want the warning message out as it is ridiculous.

So Olivin, the LTA thing is b/s, i confronted Chris on this one and he said no, there is no such instruction given to CSA on that policy to tell customers.

We need to be firmed on this one! Let's see what Henry come back with.
If BMW AG come out with position that all i-drive equipped car will carry the warning message, I want to see that!

Next level is Simon!

Should we make appointment one day and convene at PML to state our case?

Yes Eggz

The phone will work without the eject box. Putting yr phone in one will allow it to charge and connect to antennae to the fin-shape thingy for better reception .

I actually saw his wide-screen i-Drive lcd which started up with a different flash-screen bearing grey horizontal strips and BMW in bold letterings in the centre before going into the menu screen. And the bluetooth screen worked while I ogle at it . Unfortunately, I don't own 1 of the 4 listed phones to try to pair it up.

I was also informed that only one microphone will be installed on the ceiling panel although there are clearly two grill-like openings.

3 cheers to bluetooth coming our way guys !

His is the first I ever see with a DVD player just beneath the CD player we all have. Nav will be something of the future as they have not got the maps on the DVD version yet or so I was told.

I did not however check to see if this guy has other options like TV, text, or other wonderful features that all dream about in Iceman's ride !!!

Zag,

You have my vote of support in this matter all the way man ! We will congregate at PML once we gather enough mass.

If this is required by the authorities , we want proof and if this the work of some whizzy programmer out to frustrate us, they will have to bear the brunt of our symphony .

Olivin,

Great! I will keep you all posted. Keep drumming it up!
Actually with the new software the gear shift is more responsive to accel pedal. Since you don't have oil change, see if you can feel that or not!
