Yeah. Gotta give it up Mark for his first pole in 130 starts. What a relief that must be.

Talking about an awful quote, I just read what Jenson Button said recently in an interview.."Resurgent Formula 1 star Jenson Button insists he is the sport?s greatest driver ever."..Linky

Sorry but I beg to difer on that one Jenson. What a tool..
Every F1 driver should be saying exactly the same thing. If you don't feel that way, you have absolutely no business being in a driver's seat in F1. F1 is absolutely no place for those with a shred of humility, modesty or any doubts whatsoever about their ability. There are no truly humble drivers at the pinnacle of any motorsport series, and there never will be. History will of course be the ultimate judge of the relative merits of each driver - but that quote could have and should have come from any F1 driver, past or present.

Not just fuel. His car has a totally new aero package and other enhancements. Fuel alone would not have accounted for the improvement in Hamilton's performance. The big news of the weekend is actually that other manufacturers appear to have caught up (and potentially surpassed) Brawn given that Button and Barrichello are the two lightest cars on the grid.

Actually, no you don't.

Lewis has the new McL. package, Heikki doesn't.

Lewis car is very much faster than Heikki's one,
but the weather and Heikki's determination about
what tires to use, helped Heikki a lot.
Of course Heikki's laps where also perfect.

As ultimate as human races on motor cars will be performed.

A lot of money, intelligence, creativity and glory and glow (and egos)

But all man is, is only a man

Already been posted here about what he said.
Actually, no. This article was an update to the previous links provided and contained further damning quotes. I suggest you read your own posts prior to referring to someone else's as redundant.

Cheers.

Vatanen is officially a candidate for the FIA Presidency in October. He announced it today.
There is this one, this old French gentleman, who knows all about both Rally and Formula1.

I was being sarcastic about Lewis. Dislike him. Lewis will only make it in a top car and thats my opinion of him. Sorry guys!

cheers

I can't remember but has MS ever said he was the greatest driver out there? Anyway Webber has claimed the game is up for them and jenson has already won it with his lead. Thats not very arrogant for an F1 driver. What do you think?
As I said in my post, it's what drivers think that counts. The successful ones all think they are the best in the business. As do successful individuals in any walk of life.

Now to what drivers say. With respect to Weber's claim, if you think he means it, that's up to you. F1 drivers are media trained and most are reasonably media savvy and know how to say the right things - which is why F1 post race interviews are so bland and generic. Some of us, of course, seem to do a better job than others at reading between the lines...
