Thanks!
I'm very happy, when I started my car this morning it was instant on where the CCC displayed the BMW logo for a 10-30 seconds, impressive.
The 'old' iPod connection (cd changer replacement) works flawless too with the CIC and also seems to be much faster than with the CCC.
It displays the different options nicely (playlist, song, artist, etc.) where you had to guess which CD (1-6) corresponds with the option on the CCC.
@pclausen;
Yes I'm using the old AC controller, but I will swap it with the new one when there's a definitive solution for the problems with the new one.
I don't mind the gap that much but it looks a bit out of place in a perfect car like ours
.
I'm also looking at swapping my TCU with a new one to get access to the online services, maybe Patryk will offer a solution for that too
.
My old TCU now displays a '?' in the signal strength bar when paired with my iPhone 3GS so I don't think it's completely compatible with the CIC.

I can't wait to start driving around and really checking out the CIC enhancements. Right now the wheels are off and I'm putting on Eibach springs and H&R spacers (12mm front and 10mm rear). I hope to get them knocked out tonight.

Hey Georgie, don't mean to be pushy, but did you get a chance to look for the schematic for the LCI yet?

One thing I noticed though is that the CIC lacks pre configured profiles for the L7 system.
On the CCC you can choose Concert Hall, etc. But on the CIC it's just on or off, is it hidden in a menu somewhere?
I haven't checked all the new features yet, but the CIC is way faster than the CCC.

Morning Peter. I actually just checked on the software this morning. What I have is the 05-2007 TIS (Technical Information System) factory service and repair software for BMW. (Bought it off eBay about 5 months ago). The wiring diagrams are all for pre-LCI versions of the E60 and we are looking for the LCI version now. Damn.

I think you will find when the LCI was introduced is about the same time progman was fazed out and they changed the whole system, TIS is only available upto 2007.

Also if you are looking for wiring diagrams then the TIS is the wrong place to be looking, you need to check the WDS and that has the LCI models on there.
