Do you know if Peter got his AC Climate Control working correctly?

Peter will shed some light soon enough, I'm sure.

Patryk is shipping my Climate control tomorrow. Just checked my mailbox again today. No DVDs as yet. Also wondering if I should bother with the dealer firmware updates.

I'm getting there bro....ha ha

The 3 North American Navigation DVDs did complete loading succesfully last night! I have not had a chance to check it out yet as I was busy putting my console back together and while I was at it, tap into the lighter power for AE DRLs. I drove my truck to work today so i don't have any feedback yet on the navigation functionality, but I don't anticipate there being any issues.

The LCI climate control is the one remaining issue that I stil need to get resolved. As Nelson mentioned, I was able to get a hold of the pre-LCI wiring via a pdf that shows the wiring for the pre-LCI climate control called "A/C system (IHKA) Basic and High". Here's the link:

https://5series.net/forums/index.php...lbum&album=213

Basically, it shows the following layout for the 2 main connectors:

12-pin black connector
1 E Signal from left-hand heating system heat exchanger sensor
2 E Signal from right-hand heating system heat exchanger sensor
3 E Signal from evaporator temperature sensor
4 --- ---
5 --- ---
6 M Earth point for sensors
7 A PWM signal to electric auxiliary heater
8 --- ---
9 --- ---
10 V LIN bus, supply
11 E/A LIN bus, data
12 M LIN bus, earth

26-pin blue connector
1 E/A LIN bus, data
2 V AUC sensor, supply
3 E Signal from AUC sensor
4 V Condensation sensor, power supply
5 E Signal from condensation sensor
6 E/A CAN-bus high
7 E/A CAN bus low
8 V Refrigerant pressure sensor, supply
9 E Signal from refrigerant pressure sensor
10 V Solar sensor, power supply
11 E Solar sensor, left signal (E63/E64 right signal)
12 E Solar sensor, right signal (E63/E64 left signal)
13 M Solar sensor, earth
14 E PWM signal from DDE for electric auxiliary heater
15 A Control valve in A/C compressor
16 E Dual water valve, left
17 E Dual water valve, right
18 A Auxiliary water pump
19 A Relay for heated rear window
20 A Heated washer jets
21 M Refrigerant pressure sensor, earth
22 V Rear stratification flap potentiometer, power supply (not E63)
23 E Signal from rear stratification flap potentiometer (not E63)
24 E Signal from ventilation temperature sensor
25 M Earth point for AUC, ventilation temperature and condensation sensor
26 M Rear-compartment air-stratification flap potentiometer

I suspect the blue 26-pin connector is what changed and it causing the issue I experienced (A/C compressor doesn't come on and the engine cooling fan runs at 100% all the time regardless of engine temp).

So what I need is a similar document for the LCI climate control to see what has changed. Any assistance anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the updates Peter. I'll look to see if I can locate the LCI climate control wiring schematics also. I've got the BMW service software loaded at home.

Also I finally have an appointment to update my system software with a local BMW dealership. Their sentiment is the same. If anything crashes during the update, the replacement hardware is on my tab. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Georgie!

See if you can get the dealer to give you a before and after printout of the software versions of the various modules and good luck!

DVD-in-Motion, If you want this feature it run for $189 and got it done for free. No need to install a module. How do I get this and what do I do to get it? The Nav will play DVD's correct? 530i, 2007

Well Patryk 'hacked' into my car today and everything works just fine, I'm glad that I can keep using old M5 controller.
One thing I noticed though is that the CIC lacks pre configured profiles for the L7 system.
On the CCC you can choose Concert Hall, etc. But on the CIC it's just on or off, is it hidden in a menu somewhere?
I haven't checked all the new features yet, but the CIC is way faster than the CCC.
