I am okay with Run Flat, but will go with none run flat next.

I would never, ever, had believed that a leading GERMAN car magazine would say:

"Sorry to say that BMW uses RF tyres, they are bad for comfort and tramlining."

The article was about the new 335i C, but most of us Forum members knew it before!

I guess replacement of the RFT could be done at any local tire shop with non-RFTs?

What abount the tire pressure monitoring system? It will work with any non-RFTs? Thought I read here on the forum that monitoring system is built into the valve stem.

Anyone care to share on this?

So far I am fine with the runflat, but will not be too happy if I have to replace one because it cannot be repaired due to a puncture.

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets. First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.

Well, at 14k (total, about 8k on thump flats) I am getting my first new set this week.

The growling in the steering was unbearable. They did insist that I pay for an alignment, which I agreed to. Anyone else get that filip?

The TPM sensors are attached to the wheel (inside). The stem sticks out of the wheel, not the tire. I don't know everything for sure, but I would strongly suggest that you should not have a problem.
