How do you all think about the Ran Flat tyres?
What do you all think about it?I think Ran Flat tyre is not that usefull. Why?Because ran flat tyre are not comfortable+it makes a lot of unnecessary noises. And you cant mend the tyre when it is been stuck by a pin.So what suggestion do you guys have?

To date I have yet to hear one good comment about run flats. It's a good idea to save the weight of a spare tire; but does it worth the extra cost (being non-patchable) and the trade off in ride quality?
Personally I don't think so.

I really dont have any complaints about the RFTs.. It is a little rough but not that bad.

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
This spring I had mine (with 2K on them) remounted at "MINIMUM RECOMMENDED" PSI and things have improved considerably in terms of daily jarring and thumping. Last fall, when the car was new, they were disturbingly harsh; now almost acceptable. Who knows what that lower pressure will do for wear/noise traits????

When I switched from OEM Dunlop runflats to my current Michelin Pilot PS2.... the difference in ride quality was amazing.
It's like a totally new car. Smooth as silk, by comparison.
