Well, when taking a corner, if you turn a little harder than you should, it skids.... I would expect it on a 16 or 17" rim, but 19" is not that small..... or is it???
Strange...

OK. My update on Sport Maxx.

finally found the tires at Auto Tech in International Road.
This company sells rims and tires, Goodyear and Dunlop.
Previously they do not do retail but recently, they wholesales and retail.

F1, as usual is out of stock for 3 months now for 19".
I got the Sport Maxx, 245/35 and 275/30

Initial feel is that the tires feel light. As it has not been ''run-in'' yet, the ripple feeling is still there.

Road noise is minimal.
Directional feel is very good. It was raining just down, aqua planer control is very good as claimed.

Turning feels a little gummy, again, maybe due to the tires are still new.

Side walls are stiff, i cannot compare to my old 16" as the body roll is like a whole new world!

Until i wear the tires a little, so much for now.

Oh yes, the price they gave me is good, 1560 sgd for the set of 4.

ONe more thing to mention.

This is my first time there in Auto Tech.
i spoke to the boss Mr. Ng, very nice guy. Has been in the business for many years.

For a person like myself, very particular on how the mechanic will treat the my ride.
first, i would look at the equipment they use, Tire changer (Fiap Italy) average quality not so important.
Tire Balancer, very important for me. They used Hunter, a mid high end model.
4 wheel alignor, LED sensor, i will not use them to align my ride as this is the most important issue for me.
Becasue our rides needs a true 3D alignment machine.

i also observe how they tigten the bolts of the wheel, i wanted to see whether they use a torque wrench or do they use an impact wrench directly on my wheel.
Not surprisingly, they DO use a torque wrench and set it to the correct torque!!
Therefore i can say, this is a quality workshop with a fair price tag. the showroom is nice and the waiting room is cosy...take a look at them if you guys wish to change tires.

You're on!!!

MINI GTG at Railway Mall on Friday, 4th August
Guys, anyone keen on a mini GTG at Railway Mall? I know its rather far for some of us, but LMK and B73M live around there and I am sure there are others too.

Alternatively I've got over 25 bottles of wine at home, inclusive those given during my recent house-warming that we can share at my place.

Let me start the ball rolling for Railway Mall at 2200 hr on 4th Aug

1. Edlee & Jr
2.
3.
4.
