great to see the circle has grown.. back then there were only a few of us. believe it or not the first e60 forumer from sg i met was totoseow.

yah hor... Fireplace.. i am depressed! no more mod for the car ...need to mod myself ...SK-II where are you? or what is the trick?

nuvi360, audiophile is another disease. there are speakers out there cost S$150K by Kharma or Wilson Audio and amps that costs S$60K and more as well. never mind that... speaker cable and interconnect that cost $10K to $30K for a 3 meter pair. bottomline to these guys is a piano has to sound like piano when played back.. one can spend a fortune chasing that and the so called goose bumps effect.

how many bro here actually into this? i am still a two channel purist.

150k for speakers and then other components to match it , cost more than an e60 ..i think i have another e60 instead thanks.....hahahhaha

Mmmm.....

There are many mp3 rippers out there which are freeware or shareware... I used to use MusicMatch until I got my iPod and iTunes does the job perfectly these days.

For iTunes, once you insert a Music CD... it will show all the tracks and attempt to seek their database for the individual track names/author/singer etc ... sometimes even the Album artwork. But you need to to be online for this to work...

Don't think there is a difference with "iPod mp3 vs Windows mp3"... the only difference in mp3 files are the bit-rate when you did the ripping... you can have it from as low as 64bit... we usually go for 128bit which is gd enough yet small in file size...

Similarly, I managed to burn a bunch of mp3 CDs using the mp3 already stored within iTunes... it was a simple process... just copy your selection to a "PlayList" and ensure its within 700mb or 650mb (depending on your CDRom whether its 80mins or 74mins)... and then click on the "Burn to CD"... Use a CDR where possible as its much much faster (maybe 3mins)... the CDRW is alot slower (maybe 15mins).

My SLK happen to play MP3 in the 6 Disc Changer..

BTW... how do you guys who use the iPod Video convert existing DVD files to iPod format? I use ImToo... which cost me an arm...

if you encode a cd using itunes, by default it would use AAC not mp3. you can specify it to save to mp3 from the preferance menu.

you can also ask itunes to conver to mp3 for you by right clicking on the aac song.

hahaha LMK you started it hor..

http://www.boulderamp.com/index_flash.html
boulder amp mono block 2050 US $75,000
boulder preamp 2008 US$31,000
throw in dCS digital source and Wilson audio X-2 Alexandria and some good cables. the bill will come up to US$220K easy.
but remember also you need a dedicated room to spare for the set up with good acoustic and so on!
just writing this.. i started to itch liaw!

OK.. i always forget to ask this.. during u-turn for those of us with active steering do you feel a buzz/vibration on the fron wheels at certain angle and speed? The buzz/vibration almost feels like you hitting the white line on shoulder of CTE. I suspect my active steering motor is causing it. anyone?
