Back to xenon, push or pull, I still get yellow light leh. What about 530i, do you get xenon high beam when you push the stalk?
There will be a BMW.SG meet-up this Sunday at Kallang, anyone going?

Maybe you can solve it once and for all during the meet on Sunday. I'm going to miss another meet in Singapore.

PDC retrofit and bootlid button release have been installed on my car. I find the PDC sound pitch very sharp and unpleasant. Also they upgraded my software and now, the idrive screen will have to wait for 1 minute to appear - very upset over this. Why must be like that?

Tategoi, like I said previously; the xenons you have are standard for all BMWs. You will have to invest another SGD 400.00 plus to get the "white" ones. I had the same problem when I retrofitted my E46 with Xenons. I felt my xenons were not garang enough. Then someone advised me to invest in those Phillips bulbs which I promptly did and I have been very since. They are white with some hint of blue - just nice; just like the Mercs and Lexus and not like those Ah Beng Civics.

Excuse my confusion on this as I'm not sure what the standard specs are in Singapore. BMWs here in the UK come with non-xenons as standard (these would be halogen bulbs). The white (blue tinge) lights are the bi-xenons which I believe is the currently question in this thread. When you pull the stalk back (flashing), the high-beam inner bulb (halogen) comes on. If stalk is pushed forward (constant high-beam), the inner halogens come on as in flashing but the mirrors within the xenon dipped-beam also come on. You therefore see a brighter (white) light which is why the lights are called bi-xenons i.e. xenons working on both dipped(low)-beam and high-beam. As M-trois said, a significantly brighter light is seen when the stalk is pushed forward compared to a dimmer(yellow) light is seen when stalk is pulled back.

Tategoi, visit Russel at Bronze Carmen and he'll be glad to clarify your concern re the xenons. He is afterall ex-PML. Don't worry, he's 100% friendly and he'll put your concerns to rest - FOC.
Just got great news from PML today. Vessel ETA of my ride is Nov 3. PDI and some local fittings may take another couple of weeks and therefore I'm expecting delivery to be roundabout end Nov.

tategoi, the latest production E60 520i has factory fitted xenon headlights without addition cost to buyer. Xenon retrofit for 520i is not available yet. The lesson to learn is: not to rush into buying a new model until more free options are included later on.? I think one to 2 years on, PDC would also become standard option without additional cost and certainly, the bootlid release button will be added free as well.
