Yes, that is correct. For the specific line regarding the AE, I will have to get back to you when I am on my laptop.

Ok thanks mate, is this all I need to disable or is there other checks to look out for? (e.g. FEHLERMELDUNG etc.)

Yes both KALTUEBERWACHUNG & WARMUEBERWACHUNG are about cold & warm check but you may also want to disable the warning which is FEHLERMELDUNG_CC.

So if you have LM2:
Code:
KALTUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V_L -> nicht_aktiv
KALTUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V_R -> nicht_aktiv
WARMUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V_L -> nicht_aktiv
WARMUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V_R -> nicht_aktiv
FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_SL_V_L -> nicht_aktiv
FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_SL_V_R -> nicht_aktiv
GL!

Do I have to disable cold and warm checks? (KALTUEBERWACHUNG, WARMUEBERWACHUNG)

Thanks BlaSTiWi,
I'm not sure if mine is LM2 or LM1, however I do have all of the lines that you have mentioned so I will test this ASAP.

...Does this mean that I have LM2? (my e60 was made late 2004)

No, these entries are the same between LM1 and LM2.

I thought that might be the case. With my car being 2004, I didn't expect to have LM2.
I can confirm that I don't have the _33 entries.

Thanks for your help, I will hopefully do the coding after work.

Just coded my car and the parking light failure message still occurs.
Is there anything else I can try with coding instead of adding a resistor?

...I am going into 'CAS' and coding 'LMA' by the way. Would it make any difference to go into LMA>LMA instead of CAS>LMA?

I'm resorting to fitting resistors. I can't understand why i'm still getting the warning with all checks and warnings for angel eyes deactivated?

Sorry to post 4 times in a row, I can't edit my previous post.

UPDATE:
I have fitted the resistors and I no longer get the errors. The angel eyes are now dim as expected from earlier posts in this thread but I hope to fix this with leds.
My only concern is that the resistors get very hot. (too hot to touch/hold) I understand that resistors are supposed to do this, so I'm sure the resistor itself will be fine. However, is it safe for the resistor to be touching anything when installed? I have not wrapped it into the loom but it is quite tight for space behind the headlight and the resistor is wedged in. Is this anything to worry about?

...maybe it will be worth extending the wires and having the resistor hanging in space.
