Crap man. Well instead of going the expensive route and completely overhauling you hydraulics try switching your brake lines to Stainless Steel ones . or....Check the Master Cylinder by itself and also look up the part number on it and see if it matches the recall !
ecstuning has lines for 70 bucks for the front.
I am still not convinced that they just dont work.

Most big calipers have 2 bleeders on them. I'm not sure if this is true with M5 brake calipers. I spoke to a friend of mine who is a mechanic and discussed your problem. He said, looks like you have air in the system. He also said you might have a bad or locked up brake piston so even with proper bleeding it will not solve the problem. He said to mount back the M5 calipers and bleed properly. Take it out from it's mount and sandwich a piece of wood in place of the rotors. Test the brake and see how all the 4 piston works. It should push out evenly. If not, you have stock up piston.

I just bought an 07 530i for my wife and the brakes are lot softer as compared to my E55 brakes.
I am glad that M5 brakes could be retrofitted to our cars but is it a simple swap for Calipers/rotors with out doing any other mods ?
Thanks
