So guys what is the next step? Obviously the people at aFe couldn't care less about our questions. Most of the intakes are designed with a heat shield but not for the 545/550....nobody from aFe would comment on their design...false claims...do we have a case?....it's $275 of hard earned money!! Is it worth persuing?

ANYWAYS...the head guy of AFE Nick GUARANTEED that the AFE will beat it against the stock RPI with scoops/BMC filter. I have tried to set up the race and NOTHING from them.

I heard from a VERY reliable source that a friendly competition between a bone stock 335i vs a 335i with AFE CAI, AFE scoops, and JB2 took place not too long ago. Anyone want to guess what the outcome was?

no way..even with JB2?
![Laughing](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/laughing.gif)
It doesnt matter about the JB2. If you run more boost, youre going to create more heat. The more heat you create, the more reason you should do the AFE hood removal mod. The ECU is not stupid. It knows there is more hot air and its going to reduce your boost, ignition timing and increase fuel mixture. Woot.
