My Ride: 2004 545i with 325HP 6 speed Steptronic trans with DVD NAV, Heads Up Display, Logic7 sound system, Rear sunshade, Sport Package....
************UPDATE**************
I spoke the dealer this afternoon they are gonna replace the AC Compressor and something on the Pulley (Not sure of the exact part). They said I should my car back some time Monday (keeping my fingers cross). They also told me all the other issues has been fix. I will let everyone know outcome of each issue sometime next week.

i had exactly same problem: ENGINE OVERHEAT message.
my car is a 06 530xi (bought new in Munich).
sent to dealer, they could not find anything wrong, so they just replaced the rediator, flushed coolant, replaced some modules. so far, so good.
since i own the car, i had the following problems, not sure if others have similar problems:
1. passenger side air bag light. (dealr fixed).
2. front windows just lowered by itself after overnight parking or a day at work. happend several times, but
hard to duplicate. (dealr scratching head...)
3. gas filler cap warning lights on.
4. A/C not working anymore. (will drop the car to dealr today.).

Thank you all for the assistance.... My car is finally fixed... They replaced the AC Compressor and the Pulley per the SIB "billeul" provided.
