MP3s burned to MP3 data files means that you can store more than 100+ songs on one disc. If you made an audio disc from MP3 files, it converts them to much larger CD files. Usually you can only fit like 13 or 14 CD files on one CD. A lot of times people dont even realize that their CD burning software is converting them to .WAV or CD files for playback on a CD.
What we all want (if you have Nav) is to have raw MP3 data file playability. With that, who needs a 6 disc changer when you can play 100+ MP3s on one disc!?

I hope it is OK. My ride is in the shop for reporgramming the active steering. Was told they will be putting CIP 19.1 on it......
Hope it turns out OK. Have been without car for 2 months while accident damage is repaired so last thing I want is to get her back - FULL OF BUGS......

Just wondering as I got 19.01 a couple of days ago, is there really a 19.1 whatever in the U.S.? I ask because BMW's online TIS system shows 19.01 as the latest version as of the middle of last week (28 Sep).
Anyway 19.01 gave me RDS, a surprise since it's not in the release notes. The trouble is it also gave me intermittent cutting out of AM and FM radio stations. Nice, I suppose I traded radio reception for NAV perspective view and icons plus RDS. Well, I suppose it has fixed my occasional 2-1 downshift slam and the steering wheel not going back to the memory position. We'll see. The only reason I did the software update (still had the car's original 15.x) was because it was in the shop to get the PS/ARS fluid cooler replaced. That's another story and another posting.

Latest from the SA today is that they expect 19.1 in the next day or so followed by a patch to 19.1.1 at which time they will call me to bring the car in.

Hey Eurocarfan,
Remember that we are in deepest darkest Africa where the steering wheel is on the right, we drive on the road and walk on pavement.
We post letters, jelly is desert and you put jam on toast.
No to mention that high speed broadband for us is a massive 512 so it probably takes dealers weeks to get what you guys get in a couple of hours.
Let's hope that when 19.1.1 eventually does get here that it does the job.
