Well, in great anticipation of 19.0 to fix my brow lights etc. the car was booked in for next week.
Today the dealer calls to say that BMW head office has said that they must stop all installs of 19.0, also that 19.1 is also faulty and that dealers must wait for 19.1.1 which has no release date.
What the hell is going on with these software releases? Why do BMW continue to release poorly tested code?
Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

2 hours back i received a call from my dealer saying that my car is under programming

I dont know if this is a regional issue or what models are affected.
Also, others have had 19 put in with no problems.
So who know's what's going on!!

My local dealer installed 19 into my 545 about a month ago. There doesn't seem to be any problem at all. In fact, one of our local forum members just got it done on his 530 and he's reporting an improvement in acceleration.

No, dealer is being totally honest. I have a good relationship right up to management level.
We made the booking for the upgrade, loaner etc. more than a month ago and he called today to cancel with no alternative date until they hear when 19.1.1 will be released.
I will try and find out more about why they are putting a hold on 19.0 and 19.1.

I had my car at the dealer Monday for some work and they upgraded my CIP to 18.0. I guess we in the US always get new stuff late (new car models like M5, CIP, etc.).
