Just got my car back and I have v19.01. Don't notice any changes at all other than the fact that I have AUX input now (freakin' finally!!) No MP3 for me either. Even though the tech told me no, I still went ahead and burned an MP3 cd to try out anyway. The news of the hardware needing to be changed is a bummer. If thats the case and we need to pay for the hardware, I don't think I would go through with it. I mean, I have AUX input. To me, thats just the same as MP3 capability only I have more songs. We're so spoiler with our music. I have regular radio, cd, cd changer, sirius satellite, and now i have AUX. So many options for us e60er's that its kinda funny don't you think?

Hey bluedyno. Are you saying that the Aux input came with your v19.01 upgrade or was that something additional that you paid for? Since my car is currently being upgraded right now, I asked my SA and she said it would be $320 to add Aux input.

Thanks for the clarification.

You need a part, install & programming for aux input. $320 is a rip off. I paid $64 for part (after 10% BMWCCA discount) and $140 for install/programming (1 hour per attached instructions) at Peter Pan.

I mentioned the Peter Pan price you gave me and my SA called me back and said they'll match it. They will just need to order the part. Thanks again Stream!

Hey mikej. You said bluedyno but I think you were asking me since bluedyno is in Orange County and I'm the one who took my car to Stevens Creek.

Well, if it's me you're asking. They originally said $320 but, per Stream, I told them that Peter Pan BMW in San Mateo can do it for $210 so they matched the price. They ordered the part and it would be in by Tuesday. You should check with them if you're interested. My SA's name is Kim. I don't know her last name.

Got my car back today with v19.1.1 CIP upgrade! Only thing I noticed so far is there's an added sidebar on the left of the Nav screen for quick adjustments of some common nav functions..i.e...map facing north..etc.

Was stuck in rush hour traffic on the way home so couldn't really tell any difference related to performance.

Sorry, about that EuroCarFan. So, Steven's Creek matched Peter Pan. Thanks. Did they also do your CIP upgrade? I've only had my car for about 2 months and I'm kinda scared to do an upgrade. I think I have 18.x and I haven't really had any problems other than it rebooting twice and not being able to end calls once in a while but I think it has to do with using the RAZR. So, did you have service done on your car and pair it up with the upgrade or did they just upgrade it for you? You probably don't have mp3 capability yet. Maybe I'll wait for CIP 20.x. Let us know if you notice any cool changes with 19.1.1.
