Hi guys i bought this 2003 520i and since i bought when the engine needs to downshit (it's an automatic gearbox) the throttle doesn't responds and the engines rpms fall and start going up and down for 1-2 seconds and after the rpms are ok. This is very annoying i took it to 2 mechanics until know they've put it on the computer but they didnlt find anything...... Any sugestions?? Any help will be appriciated.

1-Did you try resetting the tranny? use the upper right button to look for 25 second reset.
2- Does this also occur when you in DS mode?

And buying a 2003, I assume it has a high mileage. I think it would be wise to do a full service. Aifilter, spark plugs, etc.. These are very important in engine endurance. Specially on our engine.

 

Yes that was the first thing we've done. Full service including coil changes. Can you explain me about the tranny pls?
