Ridiculous that its a 15 hour affair to replace a starter! Glad you're getting the car back though! Hopefully, this time its fixed... (crossing my fingers)

I don't believe you. You want to beat on another 335 loaner.
I'm not thinking straight right now, because my iPhone broke and unfortunately (or fortunately - we'll see) there's no "service" for it - looks like I'll have to have it replaced. Except it has a bunch of hacked stuff on it and it's dented, so I have a feeling they'll tell me to buy a new one...

But will they give you a loaner to beat on?
would be nice though - your iPhone breaks and they give you a 335 to drive while they're fixing it... ehhh... a boy can dream, right...

They'll tell me to beat on whatever Mel was alluding I beat on! I'm predicting they'll make me buy a new one for 400... but let's see - my friend just told me how to (maybe) get it replaced for free under warranty, so we'll see...

That's a dream alight. A pipe dream. Or was that what they told you to beat on.
I'm updating the software on it now - a lesson learned from BMW, btw LOL - let's see if that helps...

Well yesterday I got my beloved 550 back with its replacement starter.
Lo and behold, it starts right up. Thank goodness.
As much as I enjoyed the 335xi, I am sooooooo happy to be back in my 550. It feels so much more planted to the road and has so much more grip than the 335xi. My car does not lose its composure in the twisties when the road turns bumpy. The cornering grip is absolutely tenacious. It is just such a great-riding, solid car.
I feel like I am home.
