I'm booked in to get my summer tires put on and a software update on the 7th. I will report back on my findings on Friday. Dealer currently has 16.1.

Berkar, this is great news and many thanks for the photos to prove that finally someone does have it working!

>All e60, which have got small screen I drive, can play MP3

Are you sure about this? I've got No-Nav and the standard UK "non professional" radio. I was told by the dealership I'd need the professional radio to be able to read MP3s.

I guess the real test will be soon when one of us "Non Nav, standard radio" types tries 16.2 out. I suggest we pool our experiences on this thread.

BTW...Does anyone know whether the US "standard" radio is the equivalent of the professional or non professional radio in Europe. I think that might help to clarify what works and why.

The title of this thread is annoyingly misleading. Berkar has not installed 16.2

Funny!

I promise to start a thread with the same title as soon as the software hits the US. I've been draggin my feet to swap out my snow tires and I plan on rementioning the 5 ring limit in BT, thus guarenteeing an upgrade...
