i really don't know how other winter tires compare, but i would stick with the blizzaks. either the LM series for higher speed/a small sacrifice in traction, or the WS series for lower speed/maximum traction.

I've put 12k spirited miles on mine and I am still very satisfied with them. Looks like I'll be able to get another 10-15k miles out of them...maybe 20k if I lay off the turbos.
They hook so well on my 535 that I'm gonna take a chance and try out a set on my G8 after another 5k on the OEM set. I'm hearing no complaints from other G8 owners about cornering and comfort, but straight line performance has been suspect. They say that they hook well after a burnout on a properly prepped tracked, but not hooking well on the streets.

I have to agree with the following "I only run Hankook tires on all my cars....great tire for great price!!!!
Can't speak to the Hankook tires, but I am looking at the same tires for replacements.
Keep in mind that Hankook tires are summer tires only and have NO tread warranty." It's interesting to see so many running tires on 20" and still have a smooth ride.

I had some hankook's on mine and thought they were loud and saw some reviews about the sidewall being weak, swapped out to Michelin Pilot Sports. I'm about to take a almost 6000 mile road trip around the US and wanted good tires. this is the first set of Michelin's i've ever owned but 1 month in and i am sold on Michelins for life
