i couldn't give you an honest answer - i was recommended the bridgestone blizzak lm-60 (130mph rated speed, a little less snow traction) and i've used them on 3 cars - 1 fwd v8 and two bmw rwd v8s. i could EASILY make it up hills to work where almost everybody on all-seasons were stuck at the bottom. extremely easy to drive the car in snow, no matter how much power you put down, as long as you drive using common sense and respect for the weather.

i really don't know how other winter tires compare, but i would stick with the blizzaks. either the LM series for higher speed/a small sacrifice in traction, or the WS series for lower speed/maximum traction.

I've put 12k spirited miles on mine and I am still very satisfied with them. Looks like I'll be able to get another 10-15k miles out of them...maybe 20k if I lay off the turbos.

They hook so well on my 535 that I'm gonna take a chance and try out a set on my G8 after another 5k on the OEM set. I'm hearing no complaints from other G8 owners about cornering and comfort, but straight line performance has been suspect. They say that they hook well after a burnout on a properly prepped tracked, but not hooking well on the streets.

I have to agree with the following "I only run Hankook tires on all my cars....great tire for great price!!!!
Can't speak to the Hankook tires, but I am looking at the same tires for replacements.
Keep in mind that Hankook tires are summer tires only and have NO tread warranty." It's interesting to see so many running tires on 20" and still have a smooth ride.

I'm running 20" Hankook V12's and the ride is smooth and quiet. The tires are great but I also believe its partially the fact that my 20" F14's are 10% lighter then my factory 124's. Getting away from crappy RFT's and bricks for wheels my cars handling characteristics and driving comfort has dramatically improved.

I had some hankook's on mine and thought they were loud and saw some reviews about the sidewall being weak, swapped out to Michelin Pilot Sports. I'm about to take a almost 6000 mile road trip around the US and wanted good tires. this is the first set of Michelin's i've ever owned but 1 month in and i am sold on Michelins for life
