I have taken the liberty of asking VINCAR to check on the PI price of a 335i. Hoping to receive an answer this week. Therefore, if anyone is itching for a change, wait for the good news.

Okay, enough OT.
Went to SLS for a walk and came across the Acer PDA GPS. Is this one of any good? It costs just a fraction of what a Garmin would cost, and from what the salesguy said, maps are already installed?

if you go to SLS, you should have seen this right? Both Nuvi 310 and 360 is sold in Perfect watch. 1050 and 1700 sgd resp.
My advise is to go Garmin instead of any other GPS, still the best in my opinion after having tried all types of GPS.
Also, the mounting that one of the guys is using is quite cool...to those Nuvi users, take a look.

Nick told us that he is waiting for that too.
i am definitely itch for it.....like i said, have to wait for the bugs to settle down. heard from my buddy in USA, some vibrating issues and turbo issues. They are still testing the cars, deliveries will be expected in sept/oct. longer wait if nav is opted. well, hopefully it is only the test car has this.

Can try to take a picture of their mounting? I had great difficulting with my dashboard mounting disc... as the SLK doesn't have any flat surfacing... the 3M Super Strong double-sided tape are giving way every few days....

So what exactly was Ying wearing that allowed you to see the "lights" especially when driving an RX8?? Is she a lawyer too?

2. the con is, you have a screen sticking out of the dash. UNless, you are willing to mod and replace the idrive screen with this touch screen which is possible.
3. i modified the pins output of the touch screen so tha ti can connect direct to the VGA. But no time to re-install it back to the ride. You need to mod the plug as it sticks out too much and there is no room to push the din unit into the slot.
4. the output of the macmini carnetix P/S is 18.9volts and you cannot substitute this with the notebook p/s.
5. Alternatively, you can buy a 12v to 220v convertor to run your notebook p/s, alot of people has done it. This way, you need minimum mod to the power supply. in the market, 2 versions are available, one is the transformer type and the other is electronic type (solid state), alternatively, buy a Targus car power supply to run your notebook, the best solution. If you need more info, let me know.

Is PW having the Singapore/JB maps for their 310/360? S$1700 is quite expensive compared to the ones we self imported ... Around S$1300 incl GST.
