I know some people have installed the Mac-Mini in their cars to control the ICE...... how much? How difficult? How messy?

[4. the output of the macmini carnetix P/S is 18.9volts and you cannot substitute this with the notebook p/s.
5. Alternatively, you can buy a 12v to 220v convertor to run your notebook p/s, alot of people has done it. This way, you need minimum mod to the power supply. in the market, 2 versions are available, one is the transformer type and the other is electronic type (solid state), alternatively, buy a Targus car power supply to run your notebook, the best solution. If you need more info, let me know.

I have a pair of talkie and can lend it to you. If you happen to work in your Kovan clinic, just give me a ring. At the same time, can audition you I.C.E.

DO not do that. use a dedicated p/s is safer.

this is the p/s you should use.
check for the correct tip for your notebook.
it draws power from the cig lighter and power up your notebook without conversion.
i used it for both cars and aircraft.
most notebooks work but not for the new Macbookpro only.
