I don't totally agreed to that sentence bro.....

For tracking in Sepang....BBKs are really amazing! Most guys on stock brakes need to 'rest' their cars after 4~5 hot laps.
I went 8~10 hot laps & my BBKs were hold up as good as the 1st lap. Only my tires were losing grip due to overheating.

For daily driving in Singapore.....U'll never know which ARSEHOLE will suddenly do a lane change to your lane w/o signalling & when you're accelerating on 3rd gear towards 100+km/h.....

I had too many 'encounters' with my E46 when I was on 'Stock' brakes.....after installaing BBKs.....I'll always have BBKs..... hehe

You should take my E60 for a spin & test out my Brembos!! They can feel like stock & can brake like hell when you really need to! Never like a 'tap' & the car comes to a complete stop killing your rear passengers......

Cheers

Wilson
aiyah Bro, your driving habits is too quick for me la.
i never drive beyond 100km/hr one. Even stock brakes is good enough liao.

i dare not drive your great white....after itch itch ...die la!

I went back to the guy today and checked the pricing of the GTI. They do not bring in the 3-door. For the 4-door, their pricing is not much lower than the agent here @ SGD 114888.00. Very mist he can discount me is SGD 1000.00. I asked him about buying cash and he said I MUST top up some money as the prices quoted are subject to loan. Not much of an advantage here. I'm gonna write to the exporter in Europe to find out how much I may save.
are you writing to the same guy in netherlands or this time UK?

Still in research stage. I spoke to Ah Boa and he will be comming back with proposal. He seems quite confident to improve our ICE at that budget. I am pretty sure the budget we offered cannot come close to the ICE in LMK, Bugs, or Nuvi360's but its a matter of managing your (our) expectations. With 3 noisy kids and a nagging wife, my ears are shot anyway :'(
1x 12" dual coil subwoofer
2x6.5" mid
2x3/4"tweeter (must be able to install into the A pillar recess)
1x6 channel power with active crossover built in.minimum power 60 watts rms.

is good enough.
depending on the branding, it should work within your budget.

lmk,

are you seriously considering the 200bhp/300Nm Odyssey Absolute? Is that to replace your E65 or E60?

yes, considering. But not to replace the E60.
the E60 will be eventually be replaced by....hopefully....a 2 door ride with some convincing work to do.
335i or the new 535i (if there is one with twin turbo).

as i will be making a trip to SFO (do not know when? but definitely this year) i might be able to check out in the BMW assembly plant with some friend's help with arrangements to do a test drive on their test track.

Till then i will decide which to buy.

Count me in! I'm thinking of buying some hi-end stuffs from the internet and discuss with Ah Boa on how he could install them.

Leslie,

Pls count me in if you manage to find something nice and similar to RSLK's budget. I like your last sentence because we seems to have many things in common, except besides 3 noisy ones, I still have to take care of 30 quiet ones swimming around...hehehe.
