the installer allows you to install .img maps file into your garmin receiver. the rest are data files like POI or any other data.
if you want to look at malsingmaps on a computer, you can use Nroute download from garmin.com
i will pm you a link to get the soource file.

Hi Guys,
I have now both the Garmin Sing/J.B map and Malsings.com Sing/Malaysia map in the SD card. So will bring on Sat's GTG for testing on Nuvi just in case someone bring his Nuvi.
I have to comment that the service I got from Mr Yan - Perfect Watch is really excellent. He take the trouble get me a new certificates (for upgrading to Sing/Mal) which my wife have accidentally thrown away. Also, I have problem downloading map from Malsings.com and he just did it for me.
Hope to have the apportunity to see the Nuvi cause 2 units in PW has been sold before I could take a look.
