sg520i - as I said.. all you'll have to do is move the steering wheel (or in your case the mirrors) and the memory function on the steering wheel will be working

And, yeah, probably just a minor bug.

heh heh...strange car. So buggy. I give up sending my car in for resolving all these bugs. Looks like bmw will have the ultimate software much later.

hey guys i sent in my car on mon to fix the squeaky doors n also the jerking which i experienced. also asked them to do the programming to get the exterior mirrors to fold in by key. initially, the guy said cannot do that but when i mentioned that robert friend said it was possible .............guess their svc reps are ignorant abt this too!
anyway, got my car back yesterday......mirrors work now, no more creaking noises n hopefully, no more jerking. the svc rep couldn't get the jerking prob to manifest, so the only he could do was to do a software upgrade n to increase the idling speed.....

Hello,

How do you get the mirrors to fold in by key?
Do you lock the car and continue to hold the lock button (bmw badge) before the mirrors fold or something?
I know that works for closing any open windows.

Thanks

oh yes...hold on to the lock button and you will see the mirrors fold in. If yours is not working, then you share the same software issue as what many ppl have here. Just upgrade the software...

Does the mirror fold-in with the key only pertain to European versions? ? ? I'm not sure if the US versions will allow the mirrors to fold in.

JWO,

Well that's what I need to find out. I was actually wondering whether there was such a feature a few weeks ago. Its definitely not a standard feature in the UK. Will have to check with my dealer about this.

Just clocked 4000 km today after owning my baby for 4 and a half months now. No problem so far.

I am thinking of installing the PDC on my E60. Any one know how much it will cost and whether it is now available at PML?
