Hi,

is anyone keen to group purchase the new Z4 which should be launched any moment now? I have obtained the color/specs from BMWAsia, but the car is currently undergoing LTA tests and they will launch it v v soon.

They bringing it ( ) only the 2.5si and 3.0si.

2.5si = 2497cc, 160kW/218bhp/250Nm@2750rpm, 0-100km/h in 6.9sec (max 240km/h)
3.0si = 2996cc, 195kW/265bhp/315Nm@2750rpm, 0-100km/h in 6.0sec (max 250km/h)

Dimensions: 4091L x 1904W x 1299H (2495 Wheelbase).

Tire dimensions: 225/40/R18 (Front) & 255/35/R18 (Rear), Style 202.

Hopefully the old list price of $200K(2.5) and $225K(3.0) still stands!

I eyeing the Sapphire Black with Red interiors or Flamenco Red with Black interiors.

Well, I have got pro radio in my E60 w/out navigation and it plays MP3 in the single disc slot fine. However, my M6 with Pro radio and navi plays MP3 in the single slot but it skips and does not function really well. Maybe its faulty but then again, maybe its not because many from this forum in Europe are complaining that Pro radio with Navi does not play MP3.

On a separate note, I spoke with someone from BMW Asia today and he thinks (not absolutely) that the 335i may not be destined for our shores. He also says there will most likely be a 535i but again, he's just not too sure Singapore will have any. Lets hope he's wrong. Also, the cabrio will be a hard top just like the Mercs. BMW engineers have been trying to get around the noises that these folding hard tops make and it seems they have attained some success.
Edlee, the PML guys kept telling me my Apr04 E60 cannot pay MP3 CDs... Anyone I should speak with who can help at PML? Which service center did you get your "excellent service"? Thanks!

brought both my rides down to Kg Arang for check up.
730 due for servicing and 5er upgrade of software.

may have to leave the 5 overnight for upgrading.

Kg Arang will closed for stock take tomorrow.

I left the video interface in the car connected and explained to the CSR about it.
if he encountered any problems during the upgrading, he will need to dismantle the interface and connect it direct.

He accepted it.

Let's see whether the interface will pose a problem.

Will update when i collect my ride.

Hi E60 owners

How frequent do you need to top up your engine oil. Mine has reached a minimum level after around 13000km. The idrive indicated to top up 1 litre. I guess this is normal?

My partner E60 already have to top up 4 times and he has done only 9000km. PML found no leak and cannot provide an explanation other than saying the engine oil used for the E60 is very thin, and therefore sometimes this would happen. For sure, something is wrong.

If I am not mistaken the catch is the 6-slot will go...... :thumbsdown:

PML claims that it is normal to top up a little in between oil service (that's why they have this 1L in your boot after oil service) if you have 520i. I asm not sure if that is the norm for 523i, 525i or others but mine does NOT seem to need to top up.
