my 6 sense was not with me and i was careless that day, that's why when you mentioned, i got a feeling that i am doomed.
sigh....600-170. my 600 bonus is left with 430 from the government.

caught the same itch as Ed. Dissatisfied with the 525 already and itching for more robust performance...went to PML and ask about 540 or 550 and was told that PML/BMW Asia will not bring these models in, even on indent basis. Hmmm...wonder why. Has anyone asked about 540 and 550 in Singapore?
Anyway, eagerly awaiting the arrival of 335, and infact, prefer the coupe/cabriolet model, which should be end 2007 or early 2008...if I can stand the itch.
Guess will live with my current ride for another year and see what comes along by then.
Just curious, between a E60 540 or 550 versus the new E92 335 coupe or 335 coupe/cabriolet. Which would you go for?

Surprising that BMW Asia won't bring in the 550 or 540, since they bring in 650i, which isl similar rite?
Anyway, looking forward to a 335i, now that my wife has an MPV

Might wait until the M3 is out though and see how much difference in price/performance. I think the 335 cab will have a tin top, hmmm, wonder what the weight distribution will be like for that, but knowing BMW, it probably won't disappoint. Of course, there's the Cayman....still haven't test driven, but according to toto, it's not that refined, may get a bit tiring on long drives up to Sepang...
Oh yeah, I'll be out of a job soon, company head office is closing my entire department

e60subnet,
Welcome and it's ok to vent. If not all of us will go bonkers.![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
As for the foul aircon smell, I thought PML should have known better. BWM came out with a circular on this.
I had it when the car was 1 month old. I followed the method which should be fine for new cars. Someone told me he had a crack hose after doing that but his car was old.
It's the heat treatment.
1. Wind down all the window.
2. Turn the aircon temp and the fan speed to max.
3. Go to idrive, on the climate control portion, make the air flow max. at all outlets.
4. Run it for 20-30 minutes.
5. (I add this in) don't on the aircon to cold after the treatment to minimise the risk of crack hose.
I did it for a few sessions for a few days on my way home in the evening then. The problem had not come back since. (Touch wood)

I have the same problem for my 2 year old E60. Do I drive for the 20-30mins or run the engine and park the car? Does the aircon temp (to max) meant 30+ degrees i.e. make it HOTter?
Thanks!
Thanks!
