wah another 8 more layers.ok in between how do you maintain?
understand you will be getting m6.will you be selling your 545.if so im interested in your acs kit if you gonna dismantle or sell.he he
In between you just wash with plain water. Don't ever send to petrol station or any other not so professional outfit for wash. If and when you get caught in the rain, DO NOT park straight away in direct sunlight. Rinse away as soon as you can.

Yup, will be collecting the M6 around mid Dec. Nope, I won't be selling my 545. Luv that ride too much to do so right away. Maybe in a year or so. Will be using the 545 for family and official purposes.

Oh my goodness, my steering clicking noise is back. :'(
It was fixed just a few months back. Another couple of days downtime again.

My take on warranty- mod and mod till your heart content, as far as warranty is concern, change to "non recommended tyres" for eg. also will void warranty if you ask any bozos there!

End of the day, its your car, its your $, and its your decision. There is no right or wrong to DMS or Hiop or nothing at all.

What I do know is J4C hasn't got the software to install it onto the new valvetronic straight 6 N54 523/525/530 as of yet so hold your horses all 523 owners. I don't know also if DMS can do it yet on the new engine also. Its a matter of time for the software to be ready. The older engines are possible still i.e. Zag, Totoseow, etc
[/quote]

For those of you who are interested, HIOP is supposed to have the upgrade for the new N52 engines, at least according to Darren Zimsen of HIOP. Whether J4C can actually do it is another question. As of 2 weeks ago DMS did not have the upgrade (I called them).

On a related topic, has anyone done a dyno test on their car? It would be interesting to see if there is any improvement after an ECU "upgrade"!

The last time I was told the rack and pinion was changed! I am not too sure about that though. There were 2 problems; I think one was the positioning sensor went kaput, and the other the rack and pinion. :'(

I will be there! Although I must add that, being a newbie, it may be quite intimidateing meeting so many people at the meet up. I was there at a smaller gathering last Thursday which was good fun. Since this will be my first at the month end meet up, will all E60s be parked (gathering) together?

The ACS rims were std for front and rear which meant I had to fit 245 tyres only. I changed to the 166M staggered so that I could have 245 front and 275 rear.

Thought of running in the M6 up north. A trip all the way to Sungei Besi toll and back would mean easily 750 Km off the mileage. Will be driving at normal speed, maybe up to the max that is recommended. Quite keen to finish off the 2000Km running in. Will be speaking with Russo to see if he's keen on going up. Anyone else here game?
