Hi all,

I have been following this thread for quite some time already. It is definitely informative.

I am presently in the market to purchase a 523i. However I am holding my purchase till the 'revised' 523i comes out (with the push start button and all).

I asked the SE when it will be out. They said they have no idea. As such I thought I might as well this question here. Any idea when it will be out.

Look forward to your replies.

It should be in production already. The reason they don't know when is probably because they don't know when they can get rid of the current crop of stock. Maybe trying to find out how many left can give yourself a better idea? Just a thought.

Many thanks, Stranger. I understand too that the car is in production already. Must be some strategic reason why PML is hesitant to let the buyers know about it. They need to get rid of their present stock I guess.

Hill Start Assist, Brake Standby, Dry Braking, Fading Com pensation and Soft-Stop - they seem too good to ignore if I were to buy the present 523. I will be one unhappy lad, if I put my $$ on the present 523 only to hear that the new one is out (maybe) a month later. I'll be really sad.

Any one here have insider news?

The MY06 production cars should be in before the year is out. However, you may not be able to get a good discount until PML clears the current lot/s of MY05 that they are currently trying to sell.

Eugene, Zag was only trying to humour us. 166M rims come in 19 inch only. However, that being said, my friend who drives a 520 fitted them and he's quite happy with them. He's had to, however, lower his ride for aesthetic purposes.

ascension, you will always be a sad person if you think this way. There bound to be new technologies coming your way, you will never be able to catch up with new things, unless of course you are changing every time there is a facelift or new model. If you like current car, why wait, buy and enjoy it now well, just my 2 bhps.

He is referring to the fact that the Sep onwards production will have all these features. I think he is right that knowing these new features are around the corner, one should just wait a bit. I know I would.

I think Stranger got it spot on. Wait a little while, Ascension. I'm sure you won't regret the decision. However, please bear in mind that the price will not be the same. You get what you pay for.
