need advice on which car to get here are the prices quoted....
330 $203k
523 $172k
525 $208k
530 $245k

i am a current 318 driver wanted an up grade, initially to a 523 at 172k.but another 22k i can get a 525 which is very tempting.so i am now willing for a 525 at 208kbut then the 330 is only 203k more power and omph factor but smaller car.

stuck and can not decide 525 or 330.the 530 is above my budget.

can the brothers here kindily advise which one to get and are these the best price offered

1)between 523 (172k)and 525( 208k)save alot if i get 523
2)330 and 525

i want power and comfort thats my problem but not rwilling o spend 245k for 530.

thank you very much in advance

regards taser singapore

I also agree with the rest that 525 is a better buy as it comes with Active steering, comfort seat and GPS. May I know if the pricing u have mentioned includes rebates from financing or is the price before any rebates?

Not sure about the current specs but the last time I checked when I bought my 523i last month, the comfort seats only come with the 530i. Also my OMV is $52K and I think the 525 was around $59K but the difference in price is about >$36K (actually it was more last month when I checked - $214K for 525i ie $40K difference).

I paid even less because of financing - too low to post here. Rebates can be $6K for $150K 7 year loan (4%) + additional SA discount + service inclusive package.

The main extras are the BHPs, GPS, Professional Radio, Adaptive Headlights, and active steering. The BHPs can probably be boosted as well. IMHO the 523i was significantly better value for money but then again one often thinks with the heart and not the head when it comes to buying beemers....

Option prices (Aug) for 523i were approx:

GPS $9K
Active Sterring $5K
Adaptive Headlights $1.7K
Professional Radio $1.7K

(Does this + 30BHP add up to $36K? BTW the difference in torque is ~9% albeit at a slightly higher rev range 230@3500 vs 250@2750)

The 116 rims on the 523 are actually more expensive than the 138 rims on the 525.

(Confort Seats $3.5K option on 525i)

BTW if you're ordering options, get the Bluetooth, its great ($1.6K)

My 2c worth.

Oh yes, comfort seats are not included in the standard 525 package. Sorry for the mistake. Was quoted S$12K for it not S$3.5K. Furthermore, the base price of the car will be increased as the car has to be indented. According to my SA, the 525 stock that PML has does not come with comfort seats. In the end, my bro got the 730. Didn't really like the handling as it does not come with Active steering. However, the comfort seats and GPS (covering Malaysia and Singapore) are great. The PDC is also better than my PDC on my 520.

Sitting in my ride, waiting for my wife to finish her banking stuff. Nothing to do, Check out Channel news Asia for the latest news on my on board TV....no interesting news, so surf the web and look into E60 forum; typing and replying emails.....listening to itunes at the same time....i love my E60!

i should have done this long ago.

She came into the car, asking me to drive her to Saunders road....where the hell is Saunders rd? i asked.

She can only tell me it's near Orchard road, as she has not been there too.

Ah ha! i got my GPS! it's near Carnhill!

...now that i am here waiting again..

(typing this in my ride and humming music from my itunes)
suddenly i feel that waiting in the car is not bore anymore...

the TV module is cheap. I think Bugaboo should have got it by now....he love it when he saw it in my ride yesterday.

bugaboo, please update us when u got your TV module too!

For GPS u either need a mac mini or on board carputer.

alternatively, a portable GPS receiver like this....

http://www.eastgear.com/shop/index.p...y=SGD&cPath=71

and a video interface module for your TV to show on your CID screen.
