need advice on which car to get here are the prices quoted....
330 $203k
523 $172k
525 $208k
530 $245k

i am a current 318 driver wanted an up grade, initially to a 523 at 172k.but another 22k i can get a 525 which is very tempting.so i am now willing for a 525 at 208kbut then the 330 is only 203k more power and omph factor but smaller car.

stuck and can not decide 525 or 330.the 530 is above my budget.

can the brothers here kindily advise which one to get and are these the best price offered

1)between 523 (172k)and 525( 208k)save alot if i get 523
2)330 and 525


i want power and comfort thats my problem but not rwilling o spend 245k for 530.

1st, i suggest agst the 523. altho its an improvement vs the 520s...its still a 2.5l....n vs a 525 u pay the same road tax...very buay song right? the 330 has that wonderful new magnesium 258hp engine. it drives n handles, brakes beautifully. but i think its pretty overprice still. for me the car just blends in wif any other on the road..no wow factor especially from the rear. i wud suggest u go for the 525. the car is v comfy, has enuf room, n u wil lappreciate that. spec it with dynamic drive, lower the suspension n mod it u dun hv to worry about the lack of power on local roads. n its a lot quieter than a E90 330.

I tend to agree with Toto. The 525 is a more worthwhile car. Furthermore, its made in Germany whereas the 330 is assembled in SA. Pls do not be fooled by the test car which I believe was one of those initial show cars which were built in Germany.

For the 36K or so difference between the 525 and 523, you get GPS, active steering and a few other goodies which already make up the difference in pricing; not to forget the diffference in horses.

Also, I heard yesterday that PML was frantically putting together a new price list to compete with the others due to the COE drop and future increase in quota. Check with your sales person again next week. You might be pleasantly surprised.

i was actually looking at the 523 and even nearly signed for it. (thanks Ed) but i didn't.

If you can wait, probably end of next year. (my stance for now. hopefully a new facelift and then can decide on a 530 or 525)

if not, at least hang on for a couple of months. PML needs to push up some numbers by year end to make sure they can overtake MB. therefore even their sales people are speculating better disocunts before the year ends.

525 is the better choice of the first 2, of course 530 if budget permits and if you love power and speed.

I also agree with the rest that 525 is a better buy as it comes with Active steering, comfort seat and GPS. May I know if the pricing u have mentioned includes rebates from financing or is the price before any rebates?
