Farewell e60... farewell a wonderful ride
Awright! after 60 months.. finally i passed my e60 on to a new owner somewhere in this world whereever it ended up being exported to...
Hope he or she enjoys a smooth DMS tuned power...
It has been a phenomenal ride.. enjoyed it to the last minute as i heavy heartedly handed over the key and signed the papers.
Over the five year, clocked 97,300km... hit a top speed 250kph; burned about 5,800 liter of gasoline.....
as for replacement... still staying with a bimmer... the ultimate ones!
cheers..

Hello Forum members in Singapore. I realize it is late notice, but I am in town today, Oct 2 and available if anyone would like to have a Tiger and talk cars. I saw three e60s just coming in from the airport! I am staying at the Carlton Hotel room 1704. I won't have internet access after I finish this post, but could meet in the lobby by 9:15 PM-ish. Please call on 63388333 and leave a message if interested. Cheers!

So you decided to kill it today? And despite the pleasures it had given you over the last 5 years? Congratulations!!!
I have to leave the 19" rims on... i only managed to get the M steering off before the dateline. Besides managed to get a bit $$ more for the body price... so it makes it easier.
i am learning to take BMW to commute now... (Bus; MRT; Walking) :-)

Zag.......out with the old, in with the new. The E60 is a good car. It takes time, but it grows on you. I felt really sick letting the 545 go; so I can understand what you went thru. Great knowing that you're staying within the family.
Looking forward to another trip up North with you and the guys once you and I have run our new rides in.......CHEERS TO CHEAP COE!!!

Yup; but I don't consider it a windfall. Who knows; maybe it'll hit SGD 2.00 in December, just like the <1600cc cat. Anyway this just means we git some extra change for minor mods. Tategoi, you mean you have also booked yourself a new car? Still the same brand?

Driving around is not a good idea. You will not be ranging your engine revs and allowing gear changes. This is bad.
Spray from the M6? That was so long ago. Now you'll be spraying stone chips and sand all over others
Can I recommend you something for your new ride? Something which I have been doing everytime my new car arrives. Instruct PML not to polish your car. Just wash away the protection layer. Book an appointment with your groomer to slap on the initial layer of wax. Should you allow PML or any other car distributorship to "polish" your ride, they will only add SWIRLMARKS onto your paintwork.....that is a definite nono....trust me.

Ed. thanks for reminding about the paintwork polishing at PDI. Yes, i have same problem during the e60 delivery... under yellow street lamp the swirl marks is an eye sore. Back then made a lot of complains and have PML repolish to remove the swirl but at the expense of thinning the clear coat.
Time to call russel.. the man!
