[quote name='zag' date='Sep 19 2005, 06:46 PM']This time i decided to get it fixed at Lye (vs. Capitol PDR previuosly).
From what i observed, Lye is more experience, he doesn't have to slide his tools thru the glass window slot. He did it thru the red reflector openings. He also massaged away one dent at the boot lid which Capital PDR said not doable.

Lye is the best. However, he's so busy nowadays you'll have to make an appt first.

Guess i was in luck today, drop by around lunch and he started working on my car right away. He spent quite a fair bit of time on one dent on my bonnet. Lye is a patient chap and perfectionist. You can't beat that. It's really interesting that when dent is removed nothing beats the satisfaction and it is damn therapeutic, the dent healed!
Lye also commented the most dents he'd done on bimmers are of the current 7 series for whatever reasons!

Probably the 7 is freaking wide without any side protective strips compared to the old E38s

Lye's comment to me was that he did most of his jobs on the S Class. The 7 series is not as bad. This, he reckons is due to the design of the S Class whereby the side is very open to damage caused by careless owners and passengers of other cars.

His comment to Zag was fair in that he said that he did most jobs on the 7 series AMONGST BIMMERS.

Anyway, lets just appreciate that we have a good craftsman here to look after our precious rides.

The other guy is Ah Long. Ah Long works hand in hand with Lye and he does paintwork. His work, I must commend, is impeccable, but his location is way out.

His m/ph is 9736 1513. His workshop is located at Teban Garden Cresent, within the Alfa Romeo / Lambo complex. His location above the Lambo showroom. You will have to drive into the complex, follow the service road till the end where you will turn left and go up a ramp. He is right at the end.

some pictures to those who asked me about the project:
1. Macmini
2. itune (very nice sound)
2. dvd player (love it! good picture and sound)
3. GPS (still playing with it, so far so good with occassional freeze with VPC) 3D view on the right and 2D view on the left. turn by turn direction is in the software, love it! better than my 7series GPS with colour view and name of buildings in it. Good for Malaysia driving.
4. TV (still searching for a suitable antenna) (good picture reception only with an outdoor antenna.) indoor antenna practically cannnot work. got a digital booster; will try it out when time allows.

i got the weatherproof backup camera, it is an infra red night vision cam, it is a little huge although it can be install just above the licence plate...uh...i have to drill a hole and Mike from sin wee chuan said can be done with rust proof. hesitating.
Or, i can install in the front as a night vision cam...hehe...can see without headlights on..good gadgets especially for those who drives to malaysia at night.
for those who remember those days when Sony has a night vision video cam? can see through clothings and bikinis at the pool.
