That was my first impression too. I remember telling the Cycle sales person that it looked almost like the Taurus. The windows for the rear doors are so small; might as well not have them. The tail pipes look really queer. There is something not right about the looks of the CLS. I'm sure there'll be plenty of used CLS in the market quite soon.

Somehow the CLS actually grow on you kinda design.. have you seen the black CK55 from Carlsonn? Sweet!
Remember e60 first impression, didn't go down well on first look right? Saw a couple of CLS on the road here, got the poise to me.
Dare i cross over to the dark side? may be not but the Carlsonn CK55 pics on the latest local motoring magazine make me stare at it for quite awhile. Impressive!

I haven't got an invite. Cheque book is definetly not big enough and will suffer for serious showroom depression disorder if I do go.

unfortunately i dun believe that article too much. 1.8 ton car is never gonna beat a 1.4 ton with 17hp more....its all in the electronics. n i think the e-diff in the 430 is just too much for all the m5 is worth.

Yeah, there's no way on a track, with good drivers in both cars, the M5 is gonna beat the F430. I think it came out because when they tested both cars on normal roads, even in the hands of a good driver, the F430 couldn't pull away from the M5. But that's on regular roads....very different from a track

Basically the article is trying to describe how good a car the M5 really is for the money. Something like 90% the performance of a F430 at 50% of the price + you get 2 more doors

Actually I think the M6 probably can beat the F430 or at least equal it on the track. Would love to see The Stig take it around the Top Gear track, hopefully in the next season.

i am planning a morning drive to the north western part of singapore for some farm air...fresh air....also a good chance to bring the family into our motoring life?
this thread was posted in bmw-sg as well fyi.

i know this bollywood veggie place pretty well. i know Ivy singh-lee who owns poisonivy cafe in this farm. they serve decent food, namely cakes pratas, curries etc. poisonivy has a nice plot of land for farming all kinds of veggies, bananas etc. ideal for ur kids to look around.

any of you interested in this little excursion? the cafe opens at 9am, but i hv just spoken to Ivy and she say all i have to do is give her 1 weeks notice and she can open just for us at 8am. however i wud need to find at least 20/pax....

there is ample parking inside the compound...we can spend at least 1 to 1.5 hours there having bfast n walking around. after that we can end it by having a fotoshoot at kranji dam.

i m proposing sunday morning september 25th. we will meet at west coast macdonald car park....and leave at 730am sharp. we dun wanna start too late since we want good clean air right? dun be late. all cars welcome...all opinions welcome too.

route will be west coast=>jln buroh=>jln bahar =>cho chu kang =>neo tew within speed limits la...
