heard rumors that the e60 M5 back log is getting shorter due to cancellation from european buyers switching to 535d citing more useful torque at lower rpm than the m engines. That was why the latest autocar magazine pitted the M5 vs. Alpina B5 and the 535d.

there is a write up about M6 in the Peak magazine.
Nice looking car although does not look as fierce as the M5, IMHO.
