Need to ask this question. How much would you guys in Singapore really pay for an E60 M5? We all know it lists at SGD 470,000.00 here. The E55 lists at SGD 418,000.00. Okay, there are differences, but not as much as the price difference suggests.

I think a fair price would be to take the OMV of an M5 + singapore taxes + COE and PMLs usual mark up (what they would mark up for a 545i or 530) and that should be the fair price.

I believe PML's mark up for M cars is always much higher than for their regular models, which is a bit unfair.

If you trust what PML says, those M cars (m5 and M6) are niche and adopters are very limited in volume but the investment they have to put in (training of personnels on handling the new F1 derived engines; new mechatonics; diagnostic tools etc.. etc..) therefore the premium they will charge for the car.

Edlee, itchy on M cars har? go for M6.. Porsche Carrera S killer so they said.

You're right. However, just can't live with the ugly headlights of the 6; the "hush puppy" look. Drivewise, I think the M6 will beat the M5 anytime. Also gotta consider the outlay. The M5 is selling for GBP 61790 and the M6, GBP 79790 in the UK. That's a whopping GBP 18000 difference. If you transalate that into SGD, plus all the add-ons in taxes, etc, you will have to pay something like SGD 130000 up from the listed price of SGD 470000 for the M5. Cannot afford that kinda money.

Don't forget; the M5 is a 4 door. Can still use for official duties. M6 is a 2 door. Just a play car.

The new E60 525 now comes with navigation in response to Mercedes offering navigation as standard for E200 and E240. However, the new E60 523 does not even come with a boot lid release button as a standard. What a shame.

Either car will have them pinned against their backrest during acceleration. You can put a $50 note on the dash. Through the gears if they managed to reach forward and grab it its theirs.

Well, it did not materialise. Russo was busy most of the time. I suddenly remembered I had a medical appt.

Met up with SOC_fans this afternoon just to pass him the decal. He'll be back in July. Maybe then we'll go for a drink.

Yup Edlee, thanks for the decal. And i still owe you a drink..

I was actually hoping to take a look at your car, so sorry that i had to rush to airport. Btw I saw a 6er with ACS type 4 3pcs in town a few days ago, looks really hot in person!! Edlee if yours are 3pcs, i will buy them without hesitation!
