Who told you about this? BMW or the dealership? So far I marvel at the lack of information I receive when I ask the dealership questions.

Junior, I have paid the deposit for the PDC. Did they tell you whether they will refund the deposit?

I did not pay a deposit for my PDC as I asked for it to be fitted on my car for delivery.. PML has revised the cost of my car by $3k(cost of PDC).. Therefore, I should think that they will refund your deposit as you did not cancel.. rather, it's a matter of them not being able to fulfil your order..

Cheers!

My question is, why are they having problems with it since it is an option for the car?

Junior, same components but different outcome, its either PML does not have the skill and knowledge to retrofit the PDC, or BMW Asia put a brake on it. BMW Asia must have thought since your customers want the PDC, you should order it as a standard even for a 520i.

Thanks for the welcome Bro! Iceman, you really are the veteran of this forum. Anyway JDN, I am not in the continental USA. I am actually in the tiny red dot called Singapore.

I've actually posted a couple of responses & questions but only as a guest. But, I've decided to register so that the people here will take me a little more seriously.

I am basically a car enthusiast who is aiming to maximise performance on a budget (since cars here are so bloody expensive!). I also enjoy leaving owners of more powerful cars astonished and in my rear view mirror if they try to take me on in a race. To date, I've found certain modifications that can improve the the performace of the E60 remarkably. The 530 can be tuned to match an M5.

Unfortunately , since I've only managed to get my hands on a 520, I'll probably only be able to bring it up to par against the 525 or 530 at the very most . I'll settle for that since the roads here aren't exactly like the autobahn in Deutscheland.

Edlee if you're reading this, just curious.....do you work in the finance industry? If you do then I think I may know who you are.
