Arrival date estimation - Question?

My Ride: Soon to be 2005 5-series
The dealer told me today that the car I want (options: 530i - SMG, Sports, Xenon, Nav, Sat. prep, Premium) was out of production today 12.20.04 and should be here in 4-6 weeks. Does this sound correct? What is the average time from a car to arrive here in California once it is out of production.
He said that it only takes 4-5 days to build the car (which it already is) and will take another 4-6 weeks to arrive here.
Please share your experiences with the durations at the different stages of the vehicle delivery.

Welcome to the club.
There are several good threads; Expected arrival time, and My ship comes when.
In short, about 7-10 days to get on the vessel after production completion, 25-28 days to Port Hueneme, and 7-10 days to get to your center. You can still track your car until the vessel will leave the port. Good luck!
